1. The Dow rarely has more than six consecutive up days.....and that has just happened...
2. Cramer talked up JDSU last night and sometimes such stocks gap up then sell off in an attempt to close the gap.
There is much more on my subscription live alert and educational site.

As well as the 1-2-1 face to face and remote telephone training courses, the entire course is now available on video files which you can play back as many times as you like but without 1-2-1 interaction and without back up support or questions answered.
Having said that you could buy phone time for any further clarification, questions etc, in the unlikely event of you feeling you needed it, but people find the home study course self-contained and fully explained and don't need to pay for phone time.
This stand-alone course is significantly less to buy as it takes up much less of my time. The cost is £595 ($US 940 at an exchange rate of 1.58) as opposed to £995 ($US 1572 at 1.58).

...is usually sluggish, but it is results season and I'll be keeping a close watch on STEC, CMCSA, MMC and GRMN pre-market and on open.

Short entry was on the red X hairs and exit at time of image.
Check out the previous blog entry to see that I alerted my live site members 17 minutes before market open to a possible set up - and why.
That's a profit of $880 on 1000 shares.
I teach people who do my course exactly how to trade like this, when, why and how.
At the time of writing my exit was at exactly the low of the day so far.
Again the reasons for both entry and exit are known to those I teach and I alert them to possible set ups LIVE.

Seventeen minutes before market open (0930 Eastern and 1430 UK) I made the following comments.

My trades were:
V +80c
-22c
+$1.12
APOL +96c
In post market trading, once clear direction in trends or bounces is established, I tend to enter the move using a simple stop loss and trailing stop system which takes the exit decisions out of the field of judgement or "guesswork" and makes them automatic. That makes trading in volatile situations such as post market much easier and stress free. You just stick to the rules.
These aren't big flashy moves attempting to find tops and bottoms, they are methodical ways of taking money out of the market consistently.
That suits my personality and style.

My course includes not only set ups, money and position management, but also learning how to use level 2 T&S - not to mention how to find the right stocks before market and during market hours and a lot of other things as well - things vital to success as a trader.
With this trade today I had GILD on my watch list for my live alert members before the market even opened.
Level 2 T&S were necessary for this particular trade which would have been too risky without seeing and understanding the depth of buy and sell pressures and where people's trades were actually being done.
Level 2 T&S are covered in my course and that includes explaining when they are just noise and when they are so significant they can tell you what is likely to happen BEFORE it even appears on a chart.
The red cross hairs are at the point of entry and the image taken at the time of exit.
+95c per share in four minutes.
If you want to learn how to do this, do my course EITHER face to face 1-2-1,
OR remotely from anywhere in the world by emailed images and phone teaching
OR remotely from anywhere in the world by buying the whole course on video files you can replay as many times as you like.
The latter is the lowest price option and is a stand alone course without support and costs much less because it costs me much less time than teaching 1-2-1
See the Rates and Services section for details.

I got back from my day coaching someone yesterday and kept a very close eye on AAPL.
As I said in the last blog the results exceeded expectations and also the rumoured numbers. That resulted in a very good after hours move.
I went long at an average price of 197.09, exited 25% of the trade at 201.72 and 75% at 203.97.
That produced a profit of $4.63 per share on 25% and $6.88 per share on 75%
The techniques used in after hours trading are included in my new live course, but they essentially involve only trading trending or bouncing stocks and taking bites out of the move.
